Il VRS ovvero il <strong>Variable Rate Shading<\/strong>, permette agli sviluppatori dei giochi, di poter ridurre il carico di lavoro della GPU, semplicemente andando a settare in maniera pi\u00f9 o meno massiccia l\u2019ombreggiatura. In questa manier\u00e0 sar\u00e0 possibile aumentare le prestazioni dei giochi.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In poche parole grazie all&#8217;ausilio del VRS, lo shading viene applicato a blocchi di pixel, che saranno in grado di svolgere una singola operazione. Nelle normali condizioni, la GPU dovrebbe invece svolgere singolarmente ben 16 operazioni per ogni pixel. E&#8217; facile pertanto intuire, che usando un tasso di shading variabile, sar\u00e0 possibile far risparmiare risorse preziose alla GPU, al fine di poter aumentare il livello di dettaglio o la risoluzione, pur mantenendo un impatto visivo di altissimo livello.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hwlegend.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Il-3DMark-Advanced-Edition-si-aggiorna-introducendo-il-nuovo-test-VRS-Tier-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-142135\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hwlegend.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Il-3DMark-Advanced-Edition-si-aggiorna-introducendo-il-nuovo-test-VRS-Tier-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;introduzione del VRS Tier 2 consente agli sviluppatori di poter specificare i diversi tassi di ombreggiatura per ogni singola draw call. Nel precedente VRS Tier 1 invece era possibile solo scegliere un tasso di ombreggiatura per ogni draw call. In sostanza, grazie al VRS Tier 2 sar\u00e0 possibile impostare un tasso di ombreggiatura inferiore nelle aree con meno dettagli o nelle aree pi\u00f9 scure, dove il contrasto tra i pixel vicini \u00e8 decisamente basso.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hwlegend.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Il-3DMark-Advanced-Edition-si-aggiorna-introducendo-il-nuovo-test-VRS-Tier-2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-142137\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hwlegend.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Il-3DMark-Advanced-Edition-si-aggiorna-introducendo-il-nuovo-test-VRS-Tier-2-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Da oggi, in 3DMark Advanced Edition, grazie alla presenza della \u201cmodalit\u00e0 interattiva\u201d, sar\u00e0 possibile modificare in tempo reale i parametri relativi all\u2019ombreggiatura, in modo tale da poter osservare su quali zone viene utilizzato ogni tasso e valutarne la sua influenza sul refresh rate e sulla qualit\u00e0 dell\u2019immagine.<\/p>\n<p>Tale tecnica dello shading a tasso variabile \u00e8 senza dubbio una eccellente soluzione per aumentare le prestazioni di gioco. Ad oggi sono due i giochi che la sfruttano: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus e Youngblood.
